What really counts

Fitness studios are currently enjoying an increase in the number of participants. However, experience shows that many new starters lose their vigour over the course of the first few weeks. So what's left of our plans to do more sport, eat healthier and so on....?!! And why do we always make so many plans at the beginning of the year if we often don't realise them after all?

Quick successes are not enough

Perhaps we should think carefully about whether something could be good for us or whether we are just following a social trend that prompts us to make resolutions. The question is: how can we build lasting change into our lives and make it a good habit? It takes a lot of repetition to achieve this. And therein lies the problem: we often simply don't stick with it. Why do we give up so quickly? One answer could be: Because in these fast-moving times we prefer to have the short-term successes without making a long-term effort?

Better to start small

My personal recipe for successful new beginnings: Simply start small and treat yourself differently! Take the saying to heart: less is more. For example, grumble less, get angry less and, above all, be more grateful for the little things in life. And be happy about it.

This can be the parking space you get at the door, someone who lets us in at the checkout, a smile, a friendly gesture, a hug, a thank you. I like to recommend that you think about a few things before you go to bed: What was good today, what am I grateful for? Ideally, it should be three things - and you should say them quietly to yourself, as this reinforces the effect. A certain degree of gratitude automatically brings us into a higher vibration, makes us more relaxed and helps us to fall asleep or sleep through the night. Try it out tonight. It's worth it!
